City of Gloucester, Clean City Commission needed a logo to help promote a new program the city would implement on the beaches of Gloucester called the Carry In-Carry Out program.
The problem was the trash barrels on the beaches overflowed, and by the time the DPW workers could get to empty them the seagulls had scattered the trash everywhere. There seemed to be no solution to the problem so the Clean City Commission persuaded the City to try a carry in-carry out program. The program took all of the trash barrels off of all Gloucester beaches and placed the responsibility on the beach goers to take with them everything they had brought. This proposal met with great opposition, most did not want to even give it a try. Mayor John Bell, being the forward thinking Mayor that he is, gave it a year trial. The logo was designed by StudioVO and also painted by us on the concessions of the beaches. The results shocked even the Commission. The beaches went from a disaster to pristine seemingly overnight.
